DROPOUT HELP

CONTRARY TO HOW THE TITLE APPEARS,
dropping out is healthy, in some c
ircumstances.

No person wakes up and decides to not have a great educational and social experience.

This service is specifically geared towards helping teens by validating their experiences through individual/family therapy and providing the young adult space to express their goals for the future.

If dropping out is viable, this is done with a mapped plan that is self directed and harnesses self-esteem building with self motivation.  People tend to have a natural desire to engage in education when they consent to being there, have a purpose for going, and are not under duress to continue.

This service is also for those who are "failing" due to non-attendance from avoiding school and those who have dropped out of school (not obtained a High School Diploma) and are stuck due to social scapegoating.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each individual has their own journey with education and their own needs when it comes to trauma recovery.  There is no single set plan for any one person.  Here are the standard practices that have been employed and shown to be successful thus far, all in tandem with CPTSD therapy.

Initial steps:

1) Parent onboarding (if possible) including family sessions where parent is encouraged to build self esteem of their young adult child rather than make degrading comments in hopes of a positive future.

2) Future goal identification

3) Basic rent/cost of living balance sheet with self-identified total annual income needed.

College / Trade Certification track:

1) GED or equivalent practice testing - to boost confidence when teen sees they are able to pass certain or all subjects.

2) Immediate GED test scheduling

3) Community College enrollment upon passing GED test

Other tracks:

1) Job Corps

2) Online school for diploma

3) Business entrepreneur support and guidance as requested
